PROXYMO is not a separate company but a service brand created to make a specific activity more readable: helping patients and families to organise care pathways, in particular between East Africa and Belgium, with a clear and responsible framework.

In sensitive situations, people and their loved ones often need more than information or a simple contact: they need a framework, a method and serious support to prepare and articulate the important stages. PROXYMO’s mission is to make these journeys more understandable, more coherent and less heavy to carry by providing structured coordination, real listening and a presence adapted to each situation.

Experience born from the field
The approach carried by PROXYMO follows on from the journey of Françoise Uwera, a field nurse for over 27 years and founder of Global Care Partners. Her professional experience, in direct contact with vulnerable people and with families facing demanding situations, has shaped a vision of support grounded in listening, rigour and continuity.
This concrete experience has nurtured a way of working that is attentive to human realities, practical constraints and the need for clear coordination among the various parties involved. PROXYMO was conceived to make journeys more readable, better prepared and more coherent, without ever substituting itself for healthcare professionals or for the medical decisions that fall within their competence.

Medical acts, clinical decisions, prescriptions, official procedures and therapeutic care are exclusively the responsibility of the competent professionals and institutions.
PROXYMO acts as a coordination and support activity, and does not substitute itself for doctors, hospitals or the authorities.
